Here is a screenshot of the evite when you are in creation mode. Notice under "Invitation Options" at the very right of the screen the "Create a URL for Invitation" option. Click that.
Clicking the "Create a URL for Invitation" link -- will give you this in a pop-up window:
You need to put something unique in the box (unique for whatever email you use, so the bookclub person couldn't just put bookclub each time or funny things would happen).
Save this and finish any details that you need. For the newcomers website, we need the full URL, including what you typed in the box (case sensitive) to put on the website. What you email in for the website will look like the URL in the box above, it will only work if what you are sending me is the http://www.evite.com/app/publicURL link -- the part on the top of your browser will only work for you.
Also, as you see in red, the URL only works after the invitation is sent. SO you have to click the "Add Guests" button and then Evite directs you to a new screen that lets you put in people's emails; even if you don't add any email addresses, you need to click the "Send" button because that is what makes your Evite live.
Once you are logged in and at the home page, at the very bottom of the box with "My Upcoming Events" is an option to "View My Past Events". Click that.
You then get a list of all your past events, and you can select any of them to delete. Note: it will include events that you've been invited to, you may select those to delete yourself from the event list, or you can choose any events that you've created to delete the whole event.
